Fonts on Linux

Font great for coding

I use the excellent Source Code Pro by Adobe. It works well in urxvt, kitty and Emacs alike.

Spice up your terminal, rofi++

# apt-get install fonts-noto-color-emoji

That's it. Terminals like kitty and apps like the rofi window switcher instantly look better.

This is how a πŸ‘»is displayed using Source Code Pro:

The text looks great, but the ghost unicode character is quite boring. After installing the Noto Color Emoji by Google, it looks a lot more vivid:

# apt-get install fonts-noto-color-emoji
